INEGMA & Defense News Organized Third Middle East Air Chiefs






The official defense conference of the 2007 Dubai Air Show was for the third time successfully organized by leading international trade newsweekly, Defense News, in partnership with the Institute for Near East and Gulf Military Analysis (INEGMA). The third Middle East Air Chiefs Conference (MEAC) was supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force and Air Defense Command and sponsored by Boeing. MEAC was held in Knowledge Village on November 10, 2007, the day prior to the opening of the 2007 Dubai Air Show. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, head of the UAE Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Air Lines, opened the event on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Defense, who is MEAC patron. A lineup of seven air force commanders from around the world delivered presentations to a crowd of nearly 300 people that included 25 chiefs of air forces, senior UAE Armed Forces officers and top industry executives.
